Our annual podcast series Stay Engaged returns for its fourth year - find out how you can get involved

The virtual companion to our flagship event Engage, Stay Engaged will return for its fourth year with a series of daily offstage sessions running from 29 May through to August 2023. Stay Engaged is all about bringing you fast-paced sessions that will spark your creativity, shatter your preconceptions, and get you thinking differently through weekly audio episodes. Combining keynotes, deep-dive interviews and provocative group discussions, Stay Engaged showcases IAB members and the best of the digital advertising industry. Released weekly via The IAB UK Podcast, Stay Engaged 2022 episodes were downloaded nearly 7,500 times.

Over the last three years, Stay Engaged has featured some fantastic guests such as Gousto, Spotify, Google, LADbible Group, British Heart Foundation, TUI & many more. You can catch up on all last year’s episodes here.

Submissions are now open and any IAB UK member company can submit a proposal.

Here’s what you need to know when submitting

  • Stay Engaged will be released weekly from 29 May through to August 2023, with an episode going live each week

  • There are 12 episodes in total across the series

  • Episodes will be 20-minutes

  • Stay Engaged is a little different to our usual podcast sessions. We won’t be interviewing you, asking the questions or driving the conversation, how you fill the 20 minutes is totally up to you

  • All 12 episodes will be recorded in a Central London recording studio or at the IAB office in April, May and June. If successful, we’ll work with you in finding the best date and time that suits you, and our Podcast Producer

  • All speakers must be able to attend and record in the studio in person

  • Submissions will close on 26 April

What are we looking for?

  • Inspiring, innovative stories that showcase all that is great about digital advertising. When putting your proposal together, we want you to:

Think outside the box:

  • Stay Engaged isn’t just about the topics covered, it’s about how they’re delivered. Be imaginative with the style of your session to really bring the story to life. Put forward charismatic speakers who will embody the energy of our dynamic industry and captivate the listeners from the moment the episode starts

Be inclusive:

  • We want to ensure that Stay Engaged reflects and supports our diverse industry and shows that we’re taking inclusion seriously. We’re committing to a gender-balanced line-up, but also consider factors including socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicity and race, neurodiversity, physical ability, sexual orientation and age when picking your speaker/s

What are we not looking for?

  • Sales pitches - a big turn off

  • Submissions that only have relevance to a small part of the industry

  • Recycled content. Sessions that have already been part of other conferences or shared elsewhere aren’t right for Stay Engaged. Keep it fresh

When submitting, please ensure you include:

  • What the episode will cover

  • What listeners will learn and take away from the session

  • How the episode will leave the audience feeling

  • Details of anything you would be able to exclusively reveal or share with listeners

  • Who will be speaking

  • Links to any supporting or useful information

Please submit your proposed speaker or session here. Submissions will close 26 April. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
