WeAre8 presents a new study ‘Eyes Wide Open’ with Lumen, that explores the attention metrics behind social media advertising and provides preliminary insights, powered by Scope3 data, into how much attention is generated relative to carbon emissions when delivering an advert

Open your eyes to the future of attention metrics behind social media advertising and how delivering ads in a responsible way that puts people and the planet first makes them impossible to miss!

The research study was undertaken by Lumen Research for WeAre8 and was conducted with the aim of understanding the following:

  1. Attention: How much attention do ads on WeAre8 generate vs. other social platforms? Average time attentive is 4.7x more than other social platforms

  2. Carbon cost: What is the 'carbon cost of attention' when advertising on WeAre8 compared to other platforms? Up to 31x more attention for every gram of CO2 emitted

  3. Brand outcomes: Does the unique ad delivery model on WeAre8 drive brand recall, choice and perception? 83% average brand recall with almost 20% average brand uplift
