PageFair 2017 Global Adblock Report


The state of the blocked web.

A new PageFair report estimates that 615 million devices — 11% of the global online population—now block ads. Mobile adblock usage reached 380 million active devices and desktop adblock usage reached 236 million active devices. 

In the United Kingdom there are 11 million total devices blocking ads on the web.  16% of internet users in the United Kingdom are using adblock software on desktop and laptop computers, whereas only 1% of internet users are blocking ads using mobile devices.  The report also introduces insights about the demographics and motivations of adblock users, drawn from a survey of over 1,000 adblock users in the US.
