Snapchat wants its Stories everywhere, even outside the app

Snapchat is said to be developing a new Stories Everywhere feature that will enable web users to view content outside of the app for the first time.

Snapchat is reportedly working on a new 'Stories Everywhere' feature that intends to bring user-generated Stories content outside of the app for the first time.

News of this innovative move has been picked up by Cheddar from an exclusive source, which believes the development of this new feature could lead to significant growth in Snapchat's user base, as it will allow content produced via the app to be viewed elsewhere online by a wider audience than usual.

Snap Inc, the parent company of Snapchat, has recently recruited Rahul Chopra, formerly global head of video at News Corp and chief executive officer of social data agency Storyful, to its team.

It looks as though the development of Stories Everywhere could be part of Mr Chopra's task to grow the platform's user base and spread Snapchat's wealth of content further across the web - something that has become more pressing given the initial success of Facebook's own Stories feature, and rival Instagram Stories.
