IAB UK statement on the TAG announcement in the US
Anything that shines a light on improving safety and effectiveness in digital advertising is whole-heartedly supported by IAB UK.
In the US, IAB members will be required to register with the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) by next summer. Whilst TAG isn’t established here in the UK market, our equivalent is JICWEBS, the cross-industry body that sets the standards for trusted digital ad trading across brand safety (through the Digital Trading Standards Group), anti-fraud and viewability.
We encourage the UK digital advertising industry to register with JICWEBS to have their business practices and adherence to good trading principles audited providing more transparency for brands and ultimately boosting confidence in this developing and thriving medium.
