Twitter debuts augmented reality
The Voice uses Twitter's first augmented reality experience.
Twitter last night (May 9th) debuted its first augmented reality experience using animated 3D hashtags and stickers on The Voice in the USA.
The social media network set up a custom augmented reality booth backstage, which allowed coaches and singers to tweet six-second videos of their interactions with the animated objects.
In addition, custom animated emojis can be unlocked using the coach hashtags #teamblake, #teamadam, #teamxtina and #teampharrell.
The Voice has a close partnership with Twitter, which is why it was chosen for the first use of this new experience.
