With 92% of all internet users visiting free-to-use websites, personalised advertising is a key part of the digital ad ecosystem, allowing advertisers to reach people with relevant content. This new visual guide, created by Facebook and IAB US, explains how personalised advertising works and the value that it brings to both individuals and businesses.
By drawing on real-life case studies, the tool takes a four-step visual journey through the personalised advertising process that underpins digital connection at a personal level, business level and global level.
As IAB US and Facebook put it: “Gaining a better understanding of how the ecosystem works – of how value and information flow through people, businesses and platforms – will ultimately create greater confidence, personal agency, and new and exciting opportunities.”
