The Society owes its existence to the last of the Great Exhibitions in 1874, when a 'co-operative company' was established to buy good-quality wines on a regular basis and sell them to members. We continue to be owned solely by its members and trade only with them, providing the highest possible quality of wines and services at the best possible prices.
