Scope of the IAB UK Gold Standard

As of 29th August 2018.
IAB UK Gold Standard certification is currently limited to companies operating within display advertising on desktop and mobile web only. This is because two of the initiatives within the Gold Standard (ads.txt and the Coalition for Better Ads) currently do not apply to in-app advertising.
This means that in-app companies are unable to be IAB UK Gold Standard certified at present.
The standard will continue to evolve and the scope of the IAB UK Gold Standard may expand as a result. In the meantime companies who operate in-app only are encouraged to register with JICWEBS, for their Digital Trading Standards Group (DTSG) Good Practice Principles.
This issue will be addressed by the cross-industry IAB UK Gold Standard Group on 19th September 2018.
