Aspers is an entertainment venue which includes bars, restaurant and a casino. We have been operating since 2011 here in Stratford City and also have three other locations in Milton Keynes, Northampton and Newcastle (MK being the latest opening in 2018). We are continuing the legacy of John Aspinall, who opened his first casino in Mayfair in the 60’s, which catered for Earl’s, Dukes, Lords, among other dignitaries from high society London.
His son Damian Aspinall launched Aspers (his father’s nickname) after the Gaming Act was passed in 2005, which allowed for super casino’s to be built, which led the way for the four locations starting with Newcastle. Aspers Stratford is the largest casino in Britain and is situated in the Olympic Village, located above Westfield Shopping centre. Stratford prides itself on ‘Entertainment Betting’ which basically means we like to attract High Volume and Low Spend customers who will stake anything between £15-20 a bet. Our main aim is to focus a mass market audience and not necessarily compete with the Mayfair casinos, furthermore we would like to position ourselves as a destination venue, where people can come and enjoy for a number of reasons and we will have a number of events throughout the year to compliment this.
We are also very serious about responsible gambling and all our Gaming Dealers and Managers are trained in Safer Gambling and know how to deal with customers who may have a problem/addiction.
