How we’re sharing ID&E inspiration from across the industry

Created with our Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Group, ‘ID&E in Practice’ pulls together ideas and inspiration from across the digital ad industry to help drive further progress and create a more equitable future

At IAB UK, we believe that diversity is our strength and that creating a truly inclusive industry is not only the right thing to do, but the business savvy thing to do - by bringing together different experiences, backgrounds and views, creativity comes alive. As a result, we’ve worked with our Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Group to create a space for our members to share ideas, promote best practice and invite the industry to get inspired. ‘ID&E in Practice’ is a collection of case studies that showcase standout initiatives and delve into the detail of how each idea was put into practice.

With contributions from companies including Bauer Media, Spotify, Index Exchange, Zenith, LADBible Group and Telegraph Media Group, current case studies span areas such as: inclusive recruitment; supporting LGBTQIA+ staff; celebrating Black History Month; and improving policies supporting those going through fertility treatment and pregnancy loss. All of the case studies include step-by-step detail on how they were implemented, what’s been achieved and actionable insight on how to do the same. 

Commenting on the new initiative, Sophia Haynes, Director of Campaigns at IAB UK, said: “We want everyone to borrow from the brilliant ideas and first-hand experiences shared here. The overarching aim of this initiative is that we learn from one another and inspire others to adopt similar practices. Spanning different businesses, different areas of ID&E and different budget levels, this bank of case studies is an opportunity to drive further change within our industry. We’re now calling on all IAB UK members to share what they’re doing in the ID&E space so that we can continue to grow this valuable resource.”
