The IAB wanted to understand why devices are so important to consumers and how our lives would be affected without them. In order to get an up-to-date snapshot the questions were added to YouGov's online omnibus.
In total, we spoke to 2,090 GB adults online, aged 18+ years. The data was weighted to be representative of the GB general adult population using ONS data.
The results showed that the average household now owns 7.4 internet devices and that almost 4 in 10 households have bought a new tablet in the past 12 months.
