Spotify teams up with Samsung for more seamless streaming

Spotify has formed a new partnership with Samsung to allow people to take their playlists from one device to another for a more seamless experience.

Spotify has announced a new partnership with Samsung to allow people to enjoy their playlists across multiple devices, for what the streaming service is calling "a seamless music listening experience".

Thanks to the brands' collaboration, people will be able to link their Samsung accounts with their Spotify accounts, meaning they'll be able to play music across their Samsung phones, smart home devices and smart TVs for a smoother experience.

What's more, when users ask Samsung's virtual artificial intelligence smartphone assistant Bibxy for music, Spotify will be the default option, even if the individual has never accessed Spotify before.

Daniel Ek, chief executive officer at Spotify, commented: "This partnership with Samsung reduces the friction for users to get Spotify up and running on multiple Samsung devices once the accounts have been linked."

He added that he believes the partnership to be "a great fit" for both Spotify users and owners of Samsung devices.
