IAB working groups are essential forums that reflect our varied member base, providing them with a collective voice to shape, educate and encourage the betterment and growth of the entire industry. All of our Councils meet on a regular basis and in 2008 they're stepping up to the challenge of tackling the increasing maturity of the medium to achieve some significant milestones.

We need you!Of course, these forums are nothing unless the industry members that make them are ready and willing to work together and deal with common issues. Our Council delegates are all senior executives who appreciate that the industry won’t mature without cohesion enabling progress to be made on projects. We’re incredibly privileged to have members who are passionate about the medium and willing to offer their help and services to aid projects.
We also work hard to ensure each Council contains representation from each link in the value chain to form a fully rounded opinion from client to agency through to publisher - something that is totally unique to the IAB.
Giving the industry a united voiceIAB Councils are seen as the voice of the industry and are often asked to comment on certain topics in the press or to answer questions that our member companies may have. By bringing together groups of experts it means there has never been a better place to bring your marketing questions to table.
Member advocacy is absolutely essential for all Council projects to reinforce their authority and increase awareness. As projects are created by the industry through our Councils, we've seen many of our member companies stepping forward voluntarily to advocate IAB projects. By establishing the best sources of information and advice through our Councils, we hope this trend will continue throughout the coming year to push the internet advertising industry even further.
